Videogame Television Pioneer to Headline DIG London
London ON: Victor Lucas, Executive Producer and co-host of “The Electric Playground” and “Reviews on the Run” will headline the Digital Interactive Gaming London Conference November 3rd, 2009 at the London Convention Centre.
Part of the DIG London Annual Conference, Lucas will address industry professionals, service providers and students from across Canada at the DIG London Gala Dinner November 3rd, 6pm at the London Convention Centre. Lucas will speak about the strength of the Canadian gaming industry, the opportunities in this sector, and why Canada is a great place to make games. “Lucas has been a trailblazer in this industry for over ten year,” states Peter White, President and CEO of the London Economic Development Corporation. “We are looking forward to his message.”
Lucas is well-known as a videogame TV pioneers, with his first original TV series, “The Electric Playground,” hitting the airwaves in 1997. He is the creator and executive producer of one of the world’s first high definition videogame TV series, “The Art of Play.” His roaster of productions includes several Emmy-award winning shows, as well as partnerships with producer giants Disney and Warner Brothers. “I’m looking forward to addressing the DIG community in London, Ontario, and Canada,” says Lucas.
DIG London will take place November 3-4th at the London Convention Centre, and is open to industry professionals, service providers and students. The conference aims to stimulate industry growth by connecting London’s digital gaming cluster, Canada’s leading video game developers, publishers, technology companies and emerging talent.
