WCG Canada Announces National Online Qualifiers

Looking for a chance to match your heads-up gaming skills against some of the best in the country? World Cyber Games Canada is providing you with just that opportunity, with online qualifiers taking place on August 15th, 2009. Overall winners will be invited to take part in the 2009 WCG Canada National Finals, which are going to be held during the Fan Expo Canada exhibition in Toronto, August 28-30.

The official games for the National Online Qualifiers are Counter-Strike 1.6, Virtua Fighter 5, and Guitar Hero: World Tour. While only the top team will be invited to the national championship for Counter-Strike, runners ups for Virtua Fighter 5 and Guitar Hero: World Tour will also receive their invitation.
Daniel Piacampo (Guitar Hero) and Alan Joseph (Virtua Fighter 5), current Canadian Champions, will act as tournament commissionaires for their respective game. Thierry St-Jacques Gagnon, who is one of the top e-sports referees in the world, will be the head referee.

To register, send your contact information to registration@worldcybergames.ca . We will email you back with the registration form and the tournament rules and conditions. If you are 17 years old or younger, your parent/tutor will need to sign the Parental Consent Form. Registration fees may apply. Once your application is accepted, you will receive a confirmation by email by the Head Referee.
